The children are using descriptive words describing objects by the size, color or shape.

The children painted a brown bear. We discussed bears. We idenified the color of the bear and the size of the bear. We introduced the letter b for bears. The children colored a bear.
The children reviewed small, medium and large with picture cards. We reviewed shapes. The children colored and traced shapes.
We introduced the numbers 0 and 1. The children colored in the numbers 0 and 1. The children put 1 sticker on the number 1. We looked at how to write a 0 and 1. We learned how many is zero and one.
The children practiced putting the letters of  their name together.

We had a practice lockdown with the whole school. The children are so well behaved by sitting quietly in the dark. We practice this so we can keep the children safe just like for a firedrill.

In STREAM, Mrs. Piel introduced the gingerbread man Story. The children watched a video of the story. The children used different objects to construct a bridge for the gingerbread man to run over so he wouldn't get wet.

We are begining to help the children recognize the first letter of their first name as well as their first name. You can help by pointing out their name and the first letter. The children find their name tags after unpacking.
We have been working on the children learning how to put their coats on by themselves.

We read Bear Give Thanks, Bear Wants More, Jasper's New Bed, Helping Grandma and Grandpa, and The Little Blue Truck.
We watched Mickey Mouse Cluhouse finding Colors, The 3 Little Bears and Goldilocks, Number 0 and 1 videos.
