The children are required to read and write a book report on one of the books listed below.  Be sure to follow the criteria for the book report.

The children should read all of the books listed to give them a strong foundation in different genres of literature.

Criteria for Summer Reading Book Report 

The book report should be typed or neatly handwritten and not exceed two pages.  It is due on the first day of school. 

1. Name and date

2. Title of book

3. Author of book 

4. 2-3 sentences describing the beginning of the book

5. 2-3 sentences describing the middle of the book

6. 2-3 sentences describing the end of the book

7. 2-3 sentences describing your favorite part of the book

8. Draw a picture showing your favorite part
