CLASS NEWS
There’s nothing better than snuggling in for a good story. In this month’s unite “Favorite Tales & Rhymes”, we will be celebrating wonderful tales and nursery rhymes that have been handed down from generation to generation. All the tales are make-believe, making them perfect for dramatic play and story retelling. Encourage your child to share the stories they hear at school with you and then share some of your personal favorites. Make enjoying a good story together part of your daily routine.
This week we will be enjoying “Jack” Rhymes” as we end our unit of Favorite Tales and Rhymes. We will focus on a different rhyme each day as we sing, chant, and listen to all things “Jack. ” and then vote for our favorite!
LIBRARY and LITERCY
Listening for words that end with the same sound (rhyming words) is an important pre-reading skill. Read books that tell a story with rhyming words. Play with rhyme in
everyday conversations with your child.
We won’t go far in our fast car.
Do you hear your tummy? That broccoli is yummy!
